Make it Lab Wide Format Printers Limited Warranty

Scope of Coverage

Make it Lab, a company registered and operating under the laws of the State of Florida, warrants that its printers ("Products") are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and according to the Product Documentation (Datasheet, Site Preparation Guide, Limited Warranty, ABC User Manual, Quick Guide). This warranty is valid for twelve (12) months from the delivery date to the original purchaser, through Make it Lab or an authorized distributor in Florida.

No Guarantee of Uninterrupted Operation

Make it Lab does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Products.

What Is Not Covered

• Improper or inadequate maintenance or calibration
• Failure to clean printheads daily or run test prints during non-use
• Use of non-Make it Lab-approved inks, substrates, accessories, or software
• Operating outside the specified electrical or environmental conditions
• Incorrect site preparation or environmental control
• Absence of surge protection or humidity/temperature regulation
• Unauthorized changes, component swaps, or non-original cables
• Power failures or shutdowns lasting over 4 days without proper handling
• Alteration or removal of the product’s serial number
• Force majeure events (hurricanes, floods, fires, strikes, pandemics, etc.)
• Use by untrained personnel (Make it Lab denies liability for injury)
• Unauthorized or unqualified technical service
• Periods of non-use over 4 days without maintenance or protective shutdown

Additionally, the warranty does not cover:

• Aesthetic defects (scratches, fingerprints)
• Preventive maintenance, including parts used during cleaning or regular service visits

If a valid claim is submitted during the warranty period, Make it Lab will, at its discretion:

• Repair the defective product
• Replace parts or the product
• Provide remote installation support
• Or perform replacement on-site (subject to labor and travel fees)

All claims must be submitted in writing through the communication channels listed in the Product Documentation.

Timeline:

• Remote diagnostics: within 30 days of claim notice
• Technician visit (if needed): within 30 days of diagnostic
• Final repair/replacement: within 30 days of visit

• Parts or products replaced become the property of Make it Lab.
• If customer fails to retrieve replaced units within 30 days, Make it Lab may:
  • Charge $90/day storage fee,
  • Disclaim liability for any damage during storage, or
  • Retain the equipment as compensation.

Replacement parts may be new, refurbished, or equivalent in performance and reliability. Substitutions may include discontinued models with compatible functions.

• All spare parts are covered for 30 days from delivery.
• If installed by Make it Lab or an authorized partner, coverage extends to the remaining main warranty period, whichever is longer.

These costs must be prepaid and apply to all on-site service requests.

To the fullest extent allowed by Florida Law:

• Make it Lab and its distributors disclaim all other warranties, express or implied (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose).
• No liability for data loss or indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, even if advised in advance.
• This Limited Warranty is in addition to any rights provided by Florida consumer protection laws.

• Back up all data prior to any service. Make it Lab is not liable for data loss or recovery.
• Reinstallation of software (even bundled with the printer) is billable unless defect is proven.

• Packaging intact, no visible damage
• Serial number label matches documentation
• Original Make it Lab power cable included
• Surge protector or UPS installed
• All consumables delivered
• Signed documents (Datasheet, Site Prep Guide, Manual, Warranty)
• Temperature & humidity within specified range
• Trained operator available
• Data and backup systems in place
